How many times have you said, “I wish I had more time to ______?” I know its something I say a lot. Then I start to think about all the time I spend on Facebook or watching TV. We spend a tremendous amount of time “on screen.”
That’s why the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood sponsors Screen-Free Week each year. It’s one week of the year to pull back from the screen and live life.
So this week, I’m going to cut out the screens except for work. I’m going to read a book, write in my journal, listen to music, bake, walk, garden and do lots of things I always say I don’t have time to do.
This might seem a bit overwhelming which is why I’m so thrilled that Katy put together a list of 100 things to do during Screen-Free Week. It’s a great list and really made me think of all the things I could be doing instead of sitting in front of the screen.
Do you think you could benefit from unplugging for a week?
